Job Description / Responsibility
- The Data Systems Assistant will be expected to:
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of School Information Management Systems -Serco Facility Admin & ePortal, ManageBac, Naviance Succeed, Finalsite and various other systems
- Maintain the integrity of data in the systems.
- Help maintain staff records
- Help maintain student records.
- Develop and produce student reports according to the schedules agreed upon with the Schools.
- Develop and generate reports in order to assist the various members of the school staff in the execution of their roles.
- Assist teachers, office staff, and others, in order that they be able to make good use of all the systems
- Assist in the development & improvement of the use of Serco Facility & associated programs/software.
- Design, develop and implements custom pages or systems (web &/ standalone) to improve functionality of the data systems
- Develop a detailed understanding of the school’s data management structure and needs and provide long-term support for the role of the Data Systems Coordinator in order to provide continuity.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
- Performs other relevant duties as identified that support the mission and philosophy of the school

Educational Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in an IT-related qualification
- Prior experience within an education establishment
- Knowledge of the IB is preferred

- This is a whole-school administrative role which supports the Data Systems Coordinator primarily in developing an excellent working knowledge of Serco Facility Admin, ManageBac and Naviance Succeed [the Student Information Management System (SIMS)], and responding to the requirements of the school with regard to these systems. In addition, the person executing this role would be expected to support the Data Systems Coordinator in his various other responsibilities.
- The successful applicant for this position will possess:
- A high level of functional English
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Previous experience in web development (.php, .net, java, dreamwaver, visual studio)
- Previous experience SQL databases (My SQL, MS SQL)
